Jake has had a total of three kidneys in his life and is hoping a fourth. He was born with two kidneys but had one removed when he was ten days old. He lived a healthy life with just one kidney. When Jake was seventeen, he had his first kidney transplant which brought him up two but only the transplanted kidney was working. When Jake was eighteen, he had his last "original" kidney removed. When Jake was twentyone, the transplanted kidney failed and he had to have this kideny removed after it failed. Today Jake has no kidneys and is fully dependant on dialysis to live. Our mission is to help him find a new kidney so that he can go back to living a life without dialsys. More about dialysis...... |
